Waxing Essentials

Upon completion of this short, but comprehensive program, you will be able to seek employment within a salon or spa.  Our objective is to cover all aspects of the industry in both theory and practical application.  You will  work with top quality products in a salon spa environment like no other, working with real clients & professional, full time instructors to guide you with consistency in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.  * Course Outline *

*Professional Development, Communication & Selling (4.5 hrs theory)
*Anatomy & Physiology Function- Structure of the hair & skin, Diseases & Disorders of the skin (14 hrs theory)
*Infection Control & Decontamination-Bactria/Virus & Fungal infections- Sanitation, Disinfection & Sterilization, techniques & systems-Precautions & handling of chemical disinfectants (8.5-9 hrs of theory)
*Hair removal techniques- Lasers/Electrolysis/Waxing- Products: Hard wax, Soft wax, Creams and Cleansers etc (6-7 hrs theory) All body waxing including Brazillians, *optional (6.5 hrs demo & 187 practice)
* Tinting- Brows & Lashes (2 hrs demo & 17 hrs practice)

Course Duration- 2 Months (250 hrs)

Requirements- High School Diploma, or 19 years of age & out of school for one year, and must pass entrance exam

Graduation- Completion of hours, minimum of 75% on Final Theory & Practcal Exam and Overall grade of 75% or higher
